Make the numbers useful

A no-cost offer can still involve fees or a cash discount you give up. Tax and fee inputs are assumptions to verify with the issuer or lender, not tax advice. Adjust one input at a time to see its effect. The chart shows when payments mainly cover interest and when more of each payment goes towards principal.

A starting example

This page starts with ₹60,000 at 15% a year over 6 months. These are illustrative inputs, not a quoted offer. Change them to match the principal, nominal annual rate and repayment period in your loan documents.

How to use this calculator

Enter the loan details, select reducing or flat interest if appropriate, then inspect the result and repayment schedule. Use the Amount, Tenure and Rate tabs when you need to solve for a different part of the loan. Save a share link to compare scenarios or export the schedule for closer review.

Understand the calculation

For reducing interest, monthly EMI is P × r × (1+r)n ÷ ((1+r)n − 1). P is principal, r is the monthly rate and n is the number of payments. At zero interest, the payment is principal divided by months. Flat interest is charged on the initial amount throughout the term.

Before you decide

Allow for fees, insurance, taxes and changes in a floating rate. The estimate assumes regular monthly payments. Your lender may accrue interest daily or use a different first-payment date. Check the sanction letter and repayment schedule before committing.

Common questions

What does the no-cost emi calculator show?

A no-cost offer can still involve fees or a cash discount you give up. Tax and fee inputs are assumptions to verify with the issuer or lender, not tax advice.

Are these current lender rates?

No. All starting rates are examples. Enter the rate from your own loan offer.

Does the result include processing fees?

The standard EMI excludes fees, insurance and taxes. Compare those separately; the no-cost tool lets you explore additional offer costs.

How does zero interest work?

With no interest, each payment is the principal divided by the number of months.

Why might my bank’s schedule differ?

Lenders can use daily interest, different payment dates, floating rate resets or different rounding rules.

Is flat interest the same as reducing interest?

No. Flat interest is based on the initial amount for the entire term, while reducing interest follows the outstanding balance.
